AARP Grandparent Information Center: The AARP Grandparent Information Center (GIC) provides information for grandparents who are raising grandchildren, concerned about visitation rights with their grandchildren, or are step-grandparents. GIC provides a free newsletter for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren, referrals to grandparent support groups and legal services, links to other grandparent advocacy/information groups, and much more. The Brookdale Foundation: Refer to the Relatives As Parents Program (RAPP). The Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP) initiative began in October, 1991 and focuses on services to grandparents and other relatives who have taken on the responsibility of surrogate parenting when the biological parents are unwilling or unable to do so.

The Foundation for Grandparenting: The Foundation for Grandparenting is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting grandparents.
Generations United National Center on Grandparents and Other Relatives Raising Children: Generations United (GU) Grandparents and Other Relatives Raising Children project is seeking to improve the quality of life of these caregivers and the children they are raising. Using an intergenerational framework that considers the needs of each generation in these families, we are educating policy makers at the national, state and local levels, raising awareness among professionals in the public and private sectors, and providing education and training to service practitioners.
GrandParent Again: Grand Parent Again is a website that offers information about education, legal support, support groups, and other organizations for grandparents raising grandchildren.
Kinship Care/Adoption from ADOPTIONinformation.com: Kinship care and adoption maintain family bonds and connections when family members other than the biological parents adopt or care for a child. This site provides information for kinship providers, including legal options for relative caregivers, definitions of kinship care, and Adoption v. Guardianship.
